It started in a garage.

In 2015, Meanwhile Back On The Farm was officially launched, by designer and founder, Heather Harris in her garage. Heather's passion for handmade products started early on in life when she began sewing scrunchies and duffle bags to sell at farmer's markets with her mom. Her innate talent for design and love for quality materials led her to travel the world to discover her love- creating benchmade products that last a lifetime.

As Meanwhile began to grow, Heather’s husband, Bobby  joined the business full time. Having grown up in a family furniture manufacturing business, Bobby began cultivating his deep passion for the process of creating and building alongside Heather.

In October 2022, Meanwhile announced the opening of their new bag factory in a beautifully restored historic farmhouse in Lynchburg, VA. The unique home and property has been thoughtfully renovated in keeping to the original character and is now both a space for creating and designing their handmade goods along with a beautiful retail shop to explore their line.
