Holiday Return Policy
During the holiday season, we extend our return window so you can shop early and gift confidently.
- Eligible orders: Purchases made in December
- Return deadline: Returns accepted through January 16, 2026
- Condition: Items must be unused, in original condition, and able to be returned to our shelf for future sale
- Proof of purchase is required
To initiate a holiday return or exchange:
- Bring your item into the shop or
- Email orders@meanwhilebackonthefarm.com with your proof of purchase and whether you’d like a return or an exchange
Please note: All custom order items are final sale.
Outside of the holiday season, our standard 14-day return window applies from the date you receive your order.
Craftsmanship Guarantee
We stand behind our work. Our bags are handcrafted to last, and we offer a two-year craftsmanship guarantee from the date of purchase (with proof of purchase).
This guarantee covers defects in materials or workmanship. It does not cover regular wear and tear from everyday life.
Examples of normal wear & tear (not covered):
- Natural markings or color variations in the leather
- Leather that becomes dirty or stained
- Rain or water spots on leather
- Natural aging, softening, or patina from regular use
Many of these signs of wear can be improved with a good leather lotion and care over time. For tips on caring for your bag, please explore our care & cleaning page. If you’re unsure whether something is a defect or just wear and tear, email us—we’re happy to take a look.

Standard Shipping (Contiguous U.S.)
- Shipped via USPS or UPS
- $9.95 flat rate for 1 item
- +$2 for each additional item
This simple structure helps us keep shipping costs low for you.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories & International (including Canada)
We’re happy to ship beyond the contiguous 48 states.

- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- If you’re returning an item valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance, as we can’t guarantee we’ll receive your returned item without tracking.
Processing time for exchanges will vary based on your location, but we work hard to handle all returns and exchanges as quickly as possible.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm that we’ve received it and let you know if your refund has been approved or denied.
If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7 business days.
If you haven’t received your refund after 7 business days from our confirmation email, please contact us at orders@meanwhilebackonthefarm.com and we’ll be happy to help.
